here is a better writing email

sorry here , just let you know i am not doing the road race in SEA Games , the malaysia contingent in last minute here decide to make a meeting and inform us the start list for road race and time trial where at this time i found out i am officially dropped from the start list for road race , getting replaced by someone name's Mohd Razif Salleh .

I was frustrated and went out of the meeting straight away before even the meeting was ended . only then i found out from my roommate what reasons that the coach had given or spoken to the other people inside of the meeting of strongly supported to drop me from the start list for road race on Monday .

at first , i was dropped from the national team program 6month ago , got KICKED out . and i came back winning the selection race in October which organized by MSN and MNCF to select 4 riders for road race and time trial event in SEA GAME . I got 3rd place in Time Trial and 1st place in Road race selection race . Where they say it loud and clear that whiich rider finished 1st and 2nd place qualified into SEA GAME road race automatically . they announced later that NG Yong Li and Mohd Razzif Salleh for Time Trial ; while me and the other 3 riders for Road race . From then on , when i was told that i will going to be riding road race in SEA GAME for sure , i quit my job back home to train full time for SEA GAME , with all my own money , without any salary or support from anyone . I do that because i take their words seriously , i have to take responsibility to have my best condition of racing in Sea Game , to be the fittest to competting in Sea Game , that's why i quit my job in Kelantan only after 2 month of being employed . to train full time for SEA GAMES .

If they didn't say i got selected , i wouldn't even quit my job there .

As after the selection race , riders all being selected being sent over to various races and training camp in and out side of Malaysia , left only me alone at no way doing my own training and race preparation by my own self . I didn;t even complain that because i have been doing this by my ownsleve for the past 5/6 years .

then come 1 day before coming over here to Laos , i heard some rumours , i am not going to start in Road race . . i am already in 50-50 before coming over to Laos .

Actually all the officials except riders came 3 days earlier than us , only we get to found out after we arrive in Laos , the coaches and managers don't even knows the direction or the places of starting and race course !!!! so what use for them to come early and let the riders alone back home and travel by themselve over to Laos 3 days later on . after the arrival until the race day , the coaches and managers don't even care about showing us the race course for time trial or road race !!! they just bring the riders to ride in one of the highway in Laos . what a strategy .

then the coach for men's team giving all those reason why he dropped me out from the start list for road race , saying that i don't have any good result for the past 6 month , so what about the rider who replaced me , did he have good result for the past 6 month ?? i even curious this rider have any good result for the last 5 years !!!!!!! Just ask anyone that are really close friend of me , and really knows me as a person an cyclist . Only them will know who am i .

THEY HAVE ALREADY PLANNED TO NOT INCLUDE ME IN THE START LIST SINCE EARLY ON , WHY THEY JUST NOT TELLING ME FROM THE BEGINING , SO I DON"T HAVE TO WASTE MY TIME.

Why they still want to waste Malaysia tax payer's money for sending me over and paid all the expenses here for me for 6 days ????
I would be very happy to be staying in Malaysia , so end my precious time with my family , working and being paid from my company , and ride my bicycle .

this is not a email to blame who , but is a matter of telling the truth . No ones can help this kind of problem from stopping . they are what they are , only they can change them self

I am fine here . Enjoying my holiday trip , but without a job for months and without a single cents of salary for months now , because i was CHEATED by these heartless coaches and managers .

best regards
LOH SEA KEONG .

Hey hey hey hey. This is old school stuff in MNCF and MSN coaches (not all but most of the seasoned coaches and mgmt). Where they just put riders in and out bases on "assumptions" i.e "saya rasa dia tak boleh lah...", "lama tak dengar dia menang"," saya tengok dia macam boleh kayuh" and thousand more assumptions. the best part is these assumptions is from some of the mgmt (not all) where they even don't know their own cyclist name!!.

from the day the sprinters being choped off from the program to the pursuiters of not being up to the par and now to the road program. its all the same lame old methodology.

you can just ask them to bring a valid argument i.e performance report, competition report etc. to be discuss with a riders and coaches as well as mgmt whether he is fit or not to be in a team for competition or a program. THEY DONT HAVE IT OR THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO INTERPRATE IT!!.

oh yes. untill now where does the 2.3 million go for the road program last year???? and what is the outcome the report where our rider not performing LTDL last year??

another best part is...its always the riders fault. not the mgmt. as it easy to blame they young guns.

felt sorry for keong he didnt make it for the team. a good domestique which very usefull. but again why make the selection where they already know to drop him? even more the coach never once met him to discuss about sea games since the day he won the selection untill the road race at sea games.

in a way. Good luck malaysia cyclist! hope to grab the last gold!

Loh blasts cycling officials

2009/12/14

THE national cycling squad were hit with another controversy yesterday as cyclist Loh Sea Keong lambasted the team management for their lackadaisical attitude after he was suddenly dropped just a day before he was due to start the Sea Games road race in Vientiane.

Sea Keong, 24, said he had checked into the Games Village two days ago, along with his teammates and was surprised to find that the team management and coaching staff, who had arrived in Vientiane earlier, hadn't had any information of the road race or time trial routes.

Following a team meeting, Sea Keong was informed by team manager Datuk Ahmad Sidi Ismail that he was dropped.

Razif Salleh was then withdrawn from the individual time trial which he was due to start yesterday, and registered for the road race squad as Sea Keong's replacement.

As a result, only Ng Yong Li, who had done a reconnaissance tour of the time trial route by hitching a ride with the Thai team, was the sole Malaysian starter in yesterday's event.

Today's men's road race will be contested by Anuar Manan, Ahmad Fallanie Ali, Zamri Salleh and Razif.

Efforts to contact Ahmad Sidi for clarification on the phone number registered with the National Sports Council (NSC) secretariat, failed.

"First, I was dropped from the national programme in February, but I came back to win the selection race for the Sea Games. According to the plan, head coach John Beasley had promised that the first and second placed riders in that race would automatically be given slots in the Sea Games team," said Sea Keong.

"Thinking I was going to ride in this Sea Games, I quit my job to focus on training for this, all on my own expenses, without any support or allowances from anyone. I already heard rumours that I would not start the road race, but it didn't bother me too much.

"What hurts most is that they actually brought me here, and then decided to tell me that I'm dropped. The coach (Jamaluddin Omar) then tells me that the reason I was dropped was because I didn't have any good results for the past six months. If so, they could have told me earlier, not one day before the race I had been training for the past three months.

"This just shows how badly managed the road team is. It is no surprise that the managers and coaches arrived three days earlier than the riders, but still were not able to provide riders with information on the race route, but instead brought the riders to train on some highway, not the actual race route."

Sea Keong had voiced his grievance to chef-de-mission Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz, who immediately acted on it.

"I have spoken to the team manager and his statement is that it was the coach's decision. So, we will have a meeting to table the matter and the decision from this meeting will be final," said Ramlan.

"The coach will be held responsible for the decision." This is the second controversy the cycling team have faced after the affair of coaches and team managers arriving much earlier in Laos, leaving their riders on their own in Kuala Lumpur.

While the reasons given were that the team managers' meetings had been scheduled early, no explanation has been provided as to why the coaches had to accompany team managers to Laos.

kesian kat Ah Keong..kebodohan Pak Jamal Pak Tongkol, menjadi isu nasional sekarang nih..pujian utk Ah Keong kerana berani berkata benar..padan muka management and coach Pak Jamal Pak Tongkol..

kenapa drop ah keong??

adakah kerana dia bukan budak Jamal Pak Tongkol?

adakah kerana dia Cina??

adakah kerana dia training sendirian??

--> simple flat out..the manager didn't know what to do because of his competence. Making things worst the accompany coaches had the same situation.

"I have spoken to the team manager and his statement is that it was the coach's decision"

-->> this is the taichi game. Blame on other as if the manager knows nothing about it. If that so, why we would need a manager?
as the coaches can handle it.

no wonder our trackies tasted much more glory than our roadies.

--> This is solely part of manager and coach job to do. 3 days in advance still YongLi need to hitch a ride with the Thai team? They must be really2....super really busy even can't arrange a recce of the route for their own team...hey since our rider can manage themselve by training they own and now arranging by them self. Why waste the tax payer money to send the coach and manager there? oh I forgot. the riders need someone to gave them some motivating speech and to cheer them up." kamu harus bersemangat berlumba dengan sepenuh hati kamu"...then the manager looking for the team car. seat at the back..air cond full blast...relax untill the race finish.

"...menutup mulut pengkritik"
"...kegemilangan 2001 kembali"
"...sangkaan keong meleset"
"...Ah Keong tak perlu melatah"

but most of readers out there didn't know.

Out of 6 riders only 1 rider is truely under the coach supervisory for the past year.

The others were been kick out from the program due to some reason below :
" dia bukan sprinter boleh buat sendiri..."
"dia tak training ngan aku..."
"dia sprinter tak boleh naik bukit..."
"dia tak boleh pergi jauh...."

and many more. you can just go meet up all the national or ex nationals cyclist and interview them. I would bet you. 95% will have disatisfaction.

in again there are some cyclist that been given opputurnity but still didn't rose to the occasion untill he/she finishes out of idea who to be blame.

well its life :)

Berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu LKS memikul
Pedih mata melihat, lagi memedihkan utk membutakan mata dgn
kezaliman.

To LKS, be strong. Its time to explore the worst mgmt through ur sacrification. The next, those bastards will express their mind to proceed hundred of reasons to pointer you but the crowd still accept you as our hero. Dnt give up son.

To bro Fairoz;
Its time for you to replace those bastards
Its time for you to recognize the people like LKS
Its time for you to lead our young gen
Its time for you to produce champions
My intuition : YOU R THE ONE WHO CAN STOP THE GAME

Pls be optimist dear.

Thailand's French coach Sébastien Duclos has enjoyed watching his young riders improve and commented on how the race. "In contrast to Vietnam, Malaysia had no team spirit and wouldn't sacrifice one rider for the other." Malaysia, the South East Asian nation with the most current resources for financially supporting its cyclists, had to settle for bronze.

The Malaysian team experienced some controversy leading up to the race as Loh Sea Keong was sidelined on Saturday and replaced by Razif Salleh even though Sea Keong was already in Vientiane. "I don't know why, and this is a management decision," said Fallanie who ended up fourth. "With Sea Keong, Malaysia would have had the best team. He's one of our best domestic riders. I don't know why he didn't race."

Coach Jamaluddin Omar refused to give an explanation for his decision. "I changed at the last minute, but I cannot talk about that. I can only tell our chef-de-mission why I didn't take Sea Keong."

Chef-de-mission hopes there’s nothing sinister in Sea Keong’s omission

CHEF-de-mission Datuk Dr Ramlan Aziz hopes that there is no personal agenda behind the decision of cycling coach Jamaluddin Omar to drop Loh Sea Keong from the line-up for the men’s road race.

Sea Keong blasted the team management for their unprofessional attitude after he was dropped just a day before he was due to compete in Vientiane.

The Kelantan-born cyclist, who had won a selection race two months ago to earn a place in the squad, checked into the Games Village on Thursday along with his team-mates.

However, team manager Datuk Ahmad Sidi informed Sea Keong of his exclusion from the team after a meeting.

Razif Salleh was withdrawn from the men’s individual time trial in which he was to start on Sunday and registered for the road race as the replacement for Sea Keong. It left Ng Yong Li as the sole Malaysian rider for the men’s individual time trial.

The others in the team who competed in the road race yesterday were Anuar Manan, Ahmad Fallanie Ali and Zamri Salleh.

While it may be a coach’s prerogative to remove anyone from the final line-up, Dr Ramlan said that Jamaluddin would be held responsible for the decision.

“I have spoken to the manager and his statement was it was the coach’s decision,” he said.

“We have to respect the decision as it could be for team strategy purposes. But we will hold him responsible for the decision. I hope it is not because of personal reasons.

“I will have to wait for the report from the manager after the Games. The manager has to come up with a detailed report.”

p/s: Of course with personal reasons, because Malaysian believe Ah Keong will show better performance than Jamaludin boys!

"Purata kelajuan pelumba mencapai 40.6 km sejam.

All this while in all newspaper he mentioned about avg speed of rider is 40km/h above. (which I only heard from him of this method been use).So since he just use simple logic in his training regime i.e if avg speed of a race normally 40-45km/h which he thinks the rider should train daily with that speed.
Can the coach explain?????????

21. It's was.

22. The 26th Southeast Asian Games will be held in Indonesia in 2011

Beliau pengsan selepas selesai menamatkan perlumbaan. Terima Kasih.
